Enough is Enough!

Our greatest human adventure is the evolution of consciousness. We are in this life to enlarge the soul, liberate the spirit, and light up the brain.

Heart Broken

Dear Friends,

We are, as I know you are, so sadden by the events that took place at Morris Brown African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston, South Carolina last week. Our hearts are cracked wide open  and go out to those who lost a family member and loved one due to this crime of hate. The young man, Dylan Roof, age 21, shot and killed people in prayer and worship. How sad, someone can grow up with such hate and bias in his heart,  For the Emanuel congregation in Charleston  we sent our love, compassion, prayers, and a tithe support in a letter.  Please read below:

“Dear Members of the Emanuel Congregation,

We at the All Faith Center are heart broken by the violent events which took place last week to your Bible Study group.  Our prayers and support are with you knowing that even in the midst of this trial and tribulation, GOD is powerfully present and bringing forth Divine Justice as well as humans bringing forth justice in the human realm.

Reading the paper and hearing about how so many people are forgiving the man who perpetrated this unbelievable
shooting shows the High Consciousness of your community.

We are actively working to bring people of all faiths, non-faiths, creeds, races, genders together in our center to help bring peace, compassion and greater understanding among ALL people.  All are welcome here. We will continue to educate children and adults alike that the Spirit of God, of Life, of Love is within all people and  in all sentient beings.  All are to be loved, honored and
respected.

Our love and compassion goes out to you today and in the coming days, months and years.

This violence, prejudice, hatred has got to STOP.

Enough is Enough
Enough is Enough!  We will do whatever we can to help bring about a world that is safe, secure, in harmony, at peace and equal for all.

Peace and Blessings,
Rev. Dr. Abigail and Rev. Dr. Stephen Albert”

God Spelled Backwards is…

God – Spelled Backwards

When God had made the earth and sky,
The flowers and the trees.
He then made all the animals,
The fish, the birds and bees.
And when at last He’d finished,
Not one was quite the same.
He said, “I’ll walk this world of mine,
And give each one a name.”
And so He traveled far and wide
And everywhere He went,
A little creature followed Him
Until its strength was spent.
When all were named upon the earth
And in the sky and sea,
The little creature said, “Dear Lord,
There’s not one left for me.”
Kindly the Father said to him,
“I’ve left you to the end.
I’ve turned my own name back to front
And called you dog, my friend.”

Zoe on pillow

This past weekend we  babysat for our “grandpuggle,” Zoe. She is 9
years young and just loves to be with her “people.”  Her favorite time is when we are all sitting on the couch and she gets to choose the lap and/or pillow and/or blanket to curl up on. It is amazing to watch her “think” and make a selection.  One morning  Zoe and I got up very early so I could feed her and take her for a long walk. She is a sniffer ( puggles are 1/2 beagle and 1/2 pug) so our walks are long because she needs to stop, sniff and explore the territory.  Being a “grandma” I have no great hurry to get home so I let her lead the way.  She always seems to be on a mission and knows exactly where she wants  to go.  Once we got home she was ready to rest on the couch.  However I needed my prayer time on my special chair. About 1 minute after I sat down I heard the patter of little feet trotting over and Zoe jumped up on my lap.  I had a blanket there and she made herself very cozy on top of it and me.  As my breathing slowed, I noticed hers did too, almost matching mine. Breathing in meditation puts us in the God zone and I realized I had God on my lap. God spells Its nature at that moment “dog.” Here was a truly sweet, kind, gentle being that only gives me unconditional love. My Zoe God wants to be with me, communicate with me, spend time with me and help me slow down to appreciate the good life I live.  Isn’t that just like the Infinite GOD?   It was such a beautiful God moment with her on my lap. The air felt different and etheric.  I truly felt the loving presence of the One. We are all One; Zoe, you, me, everyone and everything.  It was a perfect moment in”no” time.

Just Start Walking…

Just start walking and the way will be made known.”
-Swami Chinmayananda (5.8.1916 – 8.3.1993)
Founder of the Chinmaya Missions

Steve and I had the privilege of attending the movie documentary, “On a Quest” the life story of Swami Chinmayananda, the founder of the Chinmaya Missions located all over the world. One mission is here in Poway, CA. We loved learning about this amazing man.  He went from being a social activist to being an atheist, and then finding the right teacher and his true path.  Every step of the way he sought greater truths to learn and live by,
The quote above came from the movie. What a truth affirmation!  Whatever we want to do, or find our purpose  all we need to do is take the first step. Our heart, our intentions  go before us.  The way becomes clear when we make the first move, take an affirmative action, and just start walking.
What is your passion?  What is your purpose?
Today, what is the ONE thing you can do to move you forward towards it?

Do it, Be it, Live it!
