Dear Friends,
I am still filled up to overflowing from the wonderful Interfaith Awareness Week we had. We met so many new people and were thrilled to see friends from all over the world show up. It was a Global family gathering again. Each presenter was passionate about the wonderful work they are doing to create peace building and bridging around the world.
Our friend Rev. Dr. Ahmondra McClendon really explained the difference between “Interfaith” and “Multifaith.” Multifaith goes beyond known religious traditions to include other ways to come together as people and share sacred space.
Other wonderful topics included and more…:
- Building Bridges
- Ecology
- Instrument for Climate Change
- Heaven on Earth
- Earth Justice
- Civic Engagement
- Interfaith Cooperation
- Two Wings of Leadership – Balance and Partnership of Men and Women
- Interfaith Youth
- Guardians of Creation
- Ubuntu Garden – Global Safe Space
- Wisdom of Belonging
- Peace Concert with Daniel Nahmod
- Wonderful Closing of an incredible week.
- “Meet me There” the Interfaith Musical by Ruth Sharone
- and Reknown Leaders sharing what our NEXT STEP is…INTERSPIRITUALITY! Talks by Matthew Fox, Kurt Johnson, Mirabai Starr, Ben Bowlen, WOWED us!
ALL Presentations were RECORDED and will be on the website as a YouTube Presentation. As they come in, Steve will post them! Keep checking for your favorites!!!
All this and more resonated in my heart and filled me with “I want to do it all and make more of a difference.” It was almost overwhelming.
Then I remembered a song Daniel Nahmod sang, “Do Just ONE Thing…”I cannot do it all, however everyday I CAN do just ONE thing to bring PEACE, JOY and HARMONY on earth. I do it by listening to my heart and do what I am guided by God to do.If we all did just ONE thing each day to make a difference in someone’s life, just one person, just one activity, just one kind word, just one lending of support, just ONE THING, we will have accomplished a lot and WILL make a difference in this beautiful world.
Blessings, Abigail and Steve
