ALL HALLOWS EVE

October 27, 2026

Dear Friends,

Halloween is almost here and our two granddaughters are so excited to dress up in costumes, go to school parties, trunk or treat events and go trick or treating on Oct.31st. It is fun for everyone. I look back and see all the cute costumes the girls have worn, from a Flamingo , Santa Claus, Ghost Spidey, Fairy princesses etc.

Halloween is also a sacred time, “All Hallows Eve, the “holy evening” (also known as All Saints’ Day) on November 1st. Over time, the phrase “All Hallow e’en” was shortened into the modern word Halloween.”  This is a time dedicated to honoring saints and praying for the departed.” (Internet)

I love how our Mexican brothers and sisters celebrate and honor people who have died on Dia de Los Muertos. Expressing love through celebration is a wonderful way to keep memories alive and well. For we know, we never really die. We just walk through the veil to the other side of the doorway. What makes us sad is, we cannot “see” our loved ones who have passed.. However, we KNOW they are alive and well in God’s dimension of eternal life.

This year light a special candle for all those who have gone before you, blessed friends and family. Know they are celebrating the JOY of Halloween with you and your love.
