CIRCLES of GRATITUDE

Circles of Gratitude

Dear Friends,

I was reading the article by Colette Baron-Reid, “Intentional Synchronicity” in the Spirituality & Health magazine. We all love it when synchronistic events happen in our lives and wonder how they came to be. Just a couple weeks ago, Steve and I were talking about getting our Flu and COVID shots especially since he volunteers at Palomar Rehab hospital. Just as we talked about it, an email came in from Palomar Hospital reminding Steve to get his Flu shot. Our thoughts and the email came in at the same time. Synchronistic? Yes, I believe so. Steve had been thinking about getting the flu shot and I had been thinking about getting the flu shot. So when we broached the subject together, the energetic pieces seem to be in place. Our thoughts together and the email happened at the same time.

Colette Baron-Reid said, “You don’t make synchronicity happen. It’s a partnership with Spirit.” “We are here to be the emissary of something greater than us.” In other words, we are here to let Spirit experience life through us. We can do that by asking, declaring and affirming what we want in prayer, thoughts and feelings. We can also allow God to bring forth our highest and best by surrendering, letting go and letting God’s Will be done in our lives.

For example, years ago I wanted to dance with one of the Pros on ‘Dancing with the Stars’ TV show. There was no way, I would be on the show. It seemed like an impossibility. However, I kept thinking about it. Then some of the Pros came to Poway Performing Arts Theater and I bought a ticket. The MC said after the show people could meet the Stars. So I walked back to the area where we could “meet the stars.” I met Dimitri. And out of my mouth I said, “Can I dance with you?” He said “Of course.” My friend, who I came with, took my camera and filmed us dancing! YES, I still have that video! Was that synchronistic? YES. My thoughts and an event matching my thoughts came together in God’s way, at God’s time.

Many of us have created Vision Boards over the years and have experienced the JOY of having our hopes, dreams and wishes come true. Colette suggested we create Synchronistic VISION Boards with Circles. Draw a box inside your paper with Circles of Gratitude where your wishes, dreams and affirmations exist. Outside the box create Circles of “God’s Will be Done” to allow NEW and more wonderful happenings in your life to manifest. Sometimes we just don’t know what would be better in our life. This is where we give God Carte Blanche!  Give it a try and enjoy how it worked in your life!

Blessings,   Abigail and Steve

GOLDEN KEY Your TO DO List as Book Ends

Dear Friends,

As you know, I love spending time early in the morning praying and meditating before the day begins. I feel at peace and anchored in God. My prayer treatments are good and yet the other day I felt completely overwhelmed by events, activities, responsibilities that were mine to do. I needed some of these things lifted off of my plate or transformed into something easier. After my prayer treatment I pulled out my list of “Words for God.” It reminded me of Emmet Fox’s book “THE GOLDEN KEY” where he says when you have a problem, turn away from the problem and think about God. I looked at my “TO DO” list for the day and immediately SURRENDERED all on the list and read through my words for GOD. As I did so, I could feel the peace and quietness within me, and I breathed easier.

Each day I have written out my “To do List” as a Golden Key prayer treatment, I wrote and thought about God and All God is before the prayer treatment and after. I use my list of 84 words/ideas for/of GOD. It was amazing. Not only did I accomplish what was on my list, some responsibilities were actually taken off my list.

My morning prayers for family, and others are also Golden Keyed. It is as if I am creating a GOLDEN KEY Book End. I start with knowing Who God is and who I am as a God being and then I end with Who God is to me again. Thinking about God before and after prayer treatment, for me, is magical and answers affirmations, requests and brings forth manifestation and demonstration in a beautiful and often surprising way.

Writing prayers in my journal solidifies the prayer to be acted upon by Divine Mind. It keeps it clear in my mind as well as what it is I need help and support with.

GOLDEN KEY

  • Turn away from the problem and think about God. Create a list of words, ideas, thoughts of God and say them out loud or a whisper.
  • What/Who is GOD to you? (Write and speak these words)
  • -God is…
  • Declare your Oneness in as and of God
  • -I AM One in as and of God….
  • Who and what are you treating for?
  • -To Do List
  • -People, family
  • -Situations
  • Thank God in the name of
  • -Jesus the Christ, Buddha nature, Christ Consciousness (what ever Divine being is sacred to you)
  • Surrender the prayer and To Do List
  • -I surrender this prayer to you Oh Lord, this and/or something greater.
  • Close
  • -And So It Is. Amen Amen Amen

GOLDEN KEY                                                                                                                Turn away from the problem/prayer treatment and think about God again. Say your list of words, ideas, thoughts of God out loud or a whisper.

Breathe and Surrender, Thinking About God,                                                                        Abigail and Steve

Letting Go for New Vitality and Purpose

Dear Friends,

Welcome Autumn!

I remember in the Midwest how beautiful the trees were as they began to change color. It was like their last “hurrah” before the leaves dropped and the branches became bare. It was sad to see the beautiful, colorful leaves go and yet I knew it was time to rest, renew and let go. The seasons of the year are brilliant. Each has its own purpose and message. We too can live in the seasons of our life!

I was reading a wonderful article by Cylvia Hayes from the “Spirituality and Health” magazine. She said,

Of all the seasons,… Autumn most clearly reveals the divinity and glory woven through all nature. The Autumn trees once verdant and full, shed their leaves, surrendering what is no longer useful to survival. It is not an act of death but of preparation that readies them for a more resilient life in the months to come. That ‘letting go’ demonstrates a divine wisdom that renewal requires release.”

The thought of the falling leaves preparing for a new and greater life reminded me of how I can and we can let go of “stuff” that no longer serves us. Nature is truly our teacher. When we clear out old ‘chachkis’,  clothes, books or ‘things in the garage we might use someday,” we are really benefitting, uplifting, and renewing ourselves!

Not only can we ‘let go’ of stuff we can ‘let go’ of outdated beliefs that no longer serve us as well. Cylvia says,

“Fall invites us to the sacred work of discernment, of letting go of the mental clutter, physical distractions and spiritual illusions that no longer serve our highest purpose. We must drop our beliefs and behaviors that sap our vitality and hinder our becoming. “

What behaviors or beliefs will you need to let go of this Fall?

What is hindering you?

  • I am not strong enough to get through this challenge.
  • I am not good enough for the job or promotion.
  • I am not a good public speaker.
  • I am not a good…..whatever.

What if you changed those words as your silent meditation everyday and say:

  • I AM strong enough to get through this challenge.
  • I AM good enough for the job or promotion.
  • I AM a good public speaker.
  • I AM a Divine Being and have ALL that I need to do, be and become here on earth, at this time and place. What I had once was indeed wonderful, and now I let go what no longer serves me.

Today let go of the old habits, old “stuff”, old beliefs and allow the NEW to take form in your life. Nature is our teacher. The Brilliant leaves of Fall are here for a season and then drop, to be restored and renewed for an even more glorious life.

Shedding the old and Bringing in the new.

Abigail and Steve

ANCHOR IN PEACE

Dear Friends,

PEACE begins with a smile                                                                                               –Mother Theresa

PEACE is not the highest goal in life,it is the most fundamental requirement.          -Sadhguru

PEACE cannot be kept by force, it can only be achieved by understanding.               -Albert Einstein

This coming Sunday, September 21st is the International Day of Peace around the Globe. It is the day we stop for a moment at noon our local time and BE AT PEACE, Think Peace, Plant Seeds of Peace, Anchor PEACE in our hearts so we can be the strong holding ground for Peace.

Anchoring PEACE in our hearts and minds reminds me of the time I was sailing and we had to anchor our 28′ sailboat in a cove, inlet or bay. If we did not get the anchor in strong, our boat would drift out of the harbor or island protection and be tossed at sea. ANCHORING was indeed important for our health and well being.

In my everyday life today, ANCHORING PEACE in my heart, mind, soul and body is a daily practice with meditation, affirmative prayers and solitude. As sleepy as I am in the mornings, going to my “special” chair is a must. I love being there and communing with God. This anchors my day. I often write out prayer treatments for people and situations that may be challenging or tumultuous. After affirming GOD as PEACE, GOD as Who I am and Who they are, and GOD as the answer to All Prayers, I am At PEACE. I can feel it in my heart, soul and body.

Today ANCHOR yourself in PEACE. The International Day of Peace is a reminder of how important YOU ARE to creating PEACE on this Planet.

When we all take a moment this Sunday at noon to think PEACE, BE PEACE we are creating a MIND WAVE of PEACE CONSCIOUSNESS that goes around the world and affects Everyone!

Send Love, Send Light Send Peace

PEACE only happens when there is PEACE in your heart.

Anchoring in PEACE, Shalom, Salam, Shaanti, Paix, Paz, Pace, Heping,

12 Powers of God in Man

  • I AM Faith,
  • I AM Strength
  • I AM Wisdom
  • I AM Love
  • IAM Power
  • I AM Imagination
  • I AM Understanding
  • I AM Will
  • I AM Order
  • I AM Zeal
  • I AM Elimination
  • I AM Life

Here is a beautiful morning affirmation.

“I am the living expression of divine power. I embody love, wisdom and strength in all I do.” –Rev. Jacquie Fernadez

Reading Rev. Jacque’s article in “Spirituality and Health,” reminded me of WHO I AM. I had just written down all the challenges Steve and I have had during 2025 so far; house, health, doctors, insurance, car, family, others coming up, and I was ready for 2026 to begin! However, looking back I realized how we embodied the Power of God, the Love of God and the Wisdom and Strength of God within us to move us through each experience.

Jacque’s article also talked about the 12 Powers of God and how these 12 Powers live and reign within and through us for we are not just Divine Potential, we are the “Divine Framework!” of God. I had never heard it written like that before and it resonated with me greatly. God is my Divine Framework! God is YOUR Divine Framework. The definition for “Framework” is:

“A framework is a particular set of rules, ideas, or beliefs which you use in order to deal with problems or to decide what to do.”

So what are these rules, beliefs and ideas? They are the 12 Powers of God within man. It is our divine framework and nature to use and activate at any time.

This reminds me of a TV show, “Touched by an Angel,” where one angel forgot who she was and unfortunately landed in a mental institution. Another angel came to her and reminded her she is never forgotten and she is an Angel of God. Once she remembered, all her angelic powers were restored.

We are never forgotten and are often reminded of WHO WE ARE.                               “Divinity in human form.” -Ernest Holmes.

When challenges occur REMEMBER WHO YOU ARE, the Divine Framework of God. The 12 Powers of God are within you. Activate them, bring them foreward, speak them, and declare:

  • I AM Faith,
  • I AM Strength
  • I AM Wisdom
  • I AM Love
  • IAM Power
  • I AM Imagination
  • I AM Understanding
  • I AM Will
  • I AM Order
  • I AM Zeal
  • I AM Elimination
  • I AM Life

“YOU were born already equipped with everything you need to live a life of purpose, peace and power.” Remember and Restore!

That is your DIVINE FRAMEWORK.

Purpose Brings Meaning and Joy

Dear Friends,
The other day Steve and I held a coaching session with a young woman in her 20’s to help her speaking and presentation skills. We gave her Steve’s book. Reboot the Speaker in You!
For an hour we asked her to speak to various topics, known and unknown. We shared some of our stories and at the end of the session she was excited to be able to practice some techniques not only for presentations, but for job interviews and also where she works.
Speaking publicly is not easy for most people and with a little encouragement and confidence building, people can do it!
(Side note: We are available to help you and/or any groups you know.)
After the session, I felt so good. It was like I was back to my original calling… to be a teacher. Now I still feel ministry is teaching, however there was something about being with a student that just fulfilled me. I am taking a look at my life to see how I can be of service in other areas of teaching. NO, I do not want to go back to the classroom on a regular basis, however I can be a volunteer in my granddaughters class, if they still do that. I can be a volunteer in a Sunday School class.
Our purpose and our service to God can take many forms and paths.
It is up to us to discover what makes our heart sing.
In the September Science of Mind magazine, it is devoted to PURPOSE and calling. Here are some Daily Guild quotes from Mary Davis.
• “Our purpose is rooted in our tender hearts and in our connection with each other. We are not called on to the change the whole world, only to take one step in the direction of love.”
• “We are not our titles, our jobs or our salaries. We are infinite possibility…when we follow the authentic yearning of our heart.” Ernest Holmes calls it the ‘Divine Urge’.”
• “When a door closes, another door is meant to open.”
• “A future goal is not your life. the path is your life.”
• Create a life that brings you moments of meaning and joy, and the path will lead you to exactly where you are meant to be!”
Purposefully,
Abigail and Steve

THE WORLD NEEDS LOVE

Dear Friends,

How can I love myself?  How can I NOT love myself?

Remember the song, “What the World Needs Now, is Love, Sweet Love..…”sung by Dionne Warwick

YES, what this world needs now is LOVE sweet love. Love for ourselves and Love for others, even those we do not know or even like. We are always wanting “PEACE,” and that will come only when we love ourselves enough so injuring another person whether in thought, word or deed (military included) is inconceivable.

I have been on zoom webinars where the topic is PEACE and everyone says we must develop Peace within ourselves first, and YES that is true. How can we do that if we are putting ourselves down, not feeling worthy, holding grudges or not forgiving ourselves due to past mistakes. When we are critical of ourselves we cannot offer peace or love to another person. Criticism just gets in the way, makes us ineffective, and delays real love and peace for ourselves and others.

Every day we must make a choice to either love, honor and respect ourselves or to judge ourselves for every little thing we do. God is and gives unconditional LOVE to us which means there are no conditions, no ‘quid pro quo.’ Sometimes in our human mind that is hard to believe because we ask ourselves: What about this, what about that and we mentally bring up all our mistakes and reasons to not love ourselves or others.

“No mistakes or missteps can change the nature of God’s love. It is always flowing.” (Rev. Michelle Medrano)

How can we not love ourselves when each breath we take is a breath from the All Loving Creator of Who We Are: God.

LOVE FOOD for Thought

  • “To love oneself is the beginning of a lifelong romance.”
  • -Oscar Wilde.
  • “To fall in love with yourself is the first secret to happiness”
  • -Robert Morley
  • “Self-love is an ocean and your heart is a vessel. Make it full, and any excess shall spill over into the lives of the people you love. But you must fill it first.”
  • -Beau Taplin

(Quotes from the August Science of Mind magazine.)

FABULOUS INTERFAITH AWARENESS WEEK

Dear Friends,

Interfaith Awareness Week was exceptional this year.

I encourage you to join us next year and hop on to as many zoom presentations as you can. It is the only GLOBAL Conference that is FREE.

This year elevated our hearts and minds in the areas of love, compassion and service. I want to share the presentation categories and the words of wisdom spoken by our presenters. This is just a capsule of the week. It was so indepth and so needed in this world of pain and suffering. We remembered who we are and what we came to do in service to the ONE GOD, our Creator.

A HEARTFELT THANK YOU to Rev. Steve who spent a year coordinating this entire week!!!

Thank you to the Global Peace Tribe who helped publicize the event.

THOOUGHTS ARE THINGS

THOUGHTS ARE THINGS.

I was reminded of this great truth. “Thoughts Are Things,” reading the Science of Mind magazine and watching a POINT video on ‘The Wondrous Web of We, Exploring Life’s Connections,” which was the theme for our past Harmony Breakfast. We live in a world like a spider web. We are all connected even if we see each other separately, or live on different sides of the globe. Our energy, our feelings, our words, our thoughts go out and ping the Web of Life and is felt by ALL.

In prayer we say, I know this Truth for my self and for others. The Truth being GOD is our Source of ALL GOOD, which includes our health, well being, prosperity, opportunities, friends, loving relationships, creative ideas and more. When I know it for myself, I know it for All.

Ernest Holmes said, “Change your Thoughts, Change your LIFE”

Ellen Castro (August SoM) said “A change in thinking can energize and transform our lives from the inside out. If we change our thought, we can change our experience. We have the power of mind to choose self-empowerment. Every thought has power. Every thought counts.”

Become aware of your thoughts and notice the type of day you are having. For me, one day I was rushing and crabby and wanted everyone to hurry up. My insistence and poor attitude caused me to be upset with every red light and every slow car on the road. The days I leave the house with a smile on my face and joy in my heart, I know God is guiding me on my day’s journey. I have many greenlights, considerate drivers and all is well. We do create our experiences with our attitudes and thoughts.

“Take time to observe your thoughts.

  • Does this thought make me feel confident or crushed?
  • Does it make me feel priceless or worthless?
  • Does it make me feel limitless or limited?
  • Does it make me feel happy or sad?
  • Does it make me feel energized or drained?”

(Ellen Castro)

Thoughts are Things. BE the Thought you wish to see in your life!

INTERFAITH AWARENESS WEEK August 10-16

August 5, 2025

Dear Friends,

Interfaith Awareness Week is coming up, beginning this SUNDAY, August 10th. Rev. Steve is the CEO of WIN (World Interfaith Network) and the Organizer of this Amazing GLOBAL ENENT. Come join us and watch these wonderful presenters share their gifts and services to the world! Read below.

Interfaith is the IDEAL of our world and how we get along and interact with each other. Those of us in the Interfaith Movement believe All Faiths are Valid and Worthy. No faith is better or worse than another faith.

  • We believe God put us here to learn from one another, pray in the way that works for us individually.
  • We honor the similarities and the differences of each faith tradition.
  • We love and respect each other.
  • We work with each other.
  • We help and support each other.
  • We stand up for each other.
  • We play, eat and enjoy each other’s company.
  • We recognize GOD within each other and ALL people.

As our Hindu friends greet each other with NAMASTE, We too can greet each other by saying the translation. “The GOD in me sees the GOD in You.”

We are all ONE. Once we recognize our ONEness we see ourselves in each other. If we hurt another person, we actually hurt ourselves.  In reality, there is NO ‘other’!

Join us for an uplifting, inspirational week of presentations, panels, music and services. All presentations are on ZOOM so you can view them in the comfort of your home.

ALL ZOOM LINKS will be on the WIN website:
