I Am Holy I Am a Living Prayer

I love songs by Karen Drucker. One in particular is “Holy Holy Holy.”

“Chorus: We are holy holy holy. We are holy holy holy. We are holy holy holy. We are whole. (repeat)   (substitute “We are” with: You are / I am )                                        Verse: Spirit divine, come to me, feeling love, healing me.                                                Open my heart, allow me to see, beauty and love, that lives in me.”

What a beautiful way to remind us WE ARE HOLY. The ‘Daily Word’ says,

I Am Holy. As a divine expression of life itself, I am holy, made in the image and likeness of God. I embrace all life with an open heart. I walk in reverence. My life is sacred, a living prayer.”

Had you ever considered your life as a LIVING PRAYER? What if you woke up each morning and said to yourself, “I Am a Living Prayer. My life is a living prayer. All that I do today is consciously live as a living prayer for myself and for others.”

What would that mean? What would that look like? I have deeply considered this and feel this is living as Spiritual Consciousness. Wherever you go and whatever you do, you are a LIVING PRAYER BEing. Steve and I were on our way to visit some friends and were slowed way down by traffic. We didn’t know what was going on so we said a silent prayer. As we got closer to the incident we saw three cars in the middle of the road, 2 police cars, one huge firetruck and about 10 -12 firefighters and police officers. I silently said a prayer knowing that GOD, was in each first responder there. God was in the people who were already taken to the hospital. God was in each car passing by. God as the HOLY ONE was IN each person.

There was a quietness as we got closer as if we were traveling on sacred ground. And we were. For EVERYTHING is HOLY. Everything is GOD.

When we prayed for the healing and wholeness of those involved in the accident we were actually claiming their “HOLINESS”. The wholeness of God is the Holiness of God within each person. Saying a prayer, feeling the prayer we became the PRAYER, a Living Prayer for others.

This week remember the wholeness and holiness of ALL beings.Say to yourself:

I AM HOLY- A LIVING PRAYER.

This is a NEW YEAR. BE a NEW YOU

Dear Friends,

I was reading an article by Rev. Ron Fox in the ‘Science of Mind’ Magazine. His ideas are food for thought in the coming year. Ron Fox said, “I am ready. I am open to more good expressing in my life.”

I was talking with a friend the other day who kept saying, “I have nothing to do…” I know there are times in life when we have our slow down times, however there is always something to do when we take the time to pause, meditate and ask GOD, what is mine to do today, next week, next month?! The Universe, Spirit, God will respond. It is up to us to Listen for the new ideas and have the courage to follow through.

Ernest Holmes wrote, “The possibilities of the Law are infinite, and our possibilities of using IT are limitless.”

Ron Fox says, “I can create a whole new life for myself. Spirit is not bound by precedent. No matter what we wish for the universe stands behind us.”

God always says YES and or something better! Remember we are Spirit, we are God in human form. Ernest Holmes says ,“Humanity is Divinity Made Visible!”

There is that within you that KNOWS, LISTENS and RESPONDS to every thought, every feeling and every action. If you keep saying, “I have nothing to do, the Universe will respond with nothing to do, and no new ideas…

God is YOUR Co-Creator! ASK for a new idea!

You Ask, You Receive. If you don’t know, God within DOES KNOW what you need and what you want. LISTEN for that still small voice within showing you the way, and bringing forth new ideas for your life. GOD is always expressing through you.

Be OPEN to New ideas, New thoughts, and New ways of doing things.

This is a NEW YEAR. BE a NEW YOU!

JANUARY REFLECTION

Dear Friends,

Are we already almost halfway through January???!!! Time continues to fly by and I am still reflecting on what 2026 will bring. Sometimes the busyness of the holidays does not let us take time to pause and listen for God’s message and inspiration in our lives.

I read a perspective in the ANTN (Affiliated New Thought Network) newsletter by my friend Rev. Dr. Michele Whittington, and her thoughts made so much sense. Why RUSH into January trying desperately to keep some resolutions. Why not wait and ALLOW what is yours to do, to unfold in Gods way and timing.

She says.”January is no longer the old year, and not fully the new. It sits between the two … like a doorway we haven’t yet crossed. This in-between space is akin to a threshold: a place of reflection as well as a place of deep potential. This threshold invites us to pause, to notice and to honor what has been before we step forward.’Rather than demanding immediate forward movement into the new year,I plan to let January be a time for reflection on some important questions.”

Dr. Michele’s questions to pray and meditate on throughout this month are:

  • What no longer fits the person I am becoming?
  • What is ready to be laid down with gratitude?
  • What is trying to take shape?
  • And perhaps most importantly, what am I willing to trust without yet seeing the full path?”

Besides taking time in the morning during your prayer and meditation time, ask these questions before you go to bed. Allow your Dreams to reveal the answers

BE THE SPARK IN THE NEW YEAR!

BE THE SPARK IN THE NEW YEAR!

HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone! How many enjoyed watching the New Years countdown Wednesday night? It was and is always fun to watch the fireworks and all the SPARKS and fireworks in the sky. They light up the night!

As we enjoyed the New Years celebration, we can continue to celebrate each day throughout the year. We know from the Christmas story, we can celebrate the birth of our beloved Master Jesus the Christ and we can celebrate our own birth of Christ Consciousness every day.

To bring forth our Christ Consciousness we can commit to some uplifting resolutions and purposeful behaviors in the New Year. It is time to take stock of our lives, be honest with ourselves and look deeply into our hearts to live a life of Joy, Peace, Love, Abundance and Happiness. We can truly be a SPARK in the NEW YEAR and bring forth Good not only in our own lives, but GOOD in other people’s lives as well.

How many of you lit candles during this holiday season. Some may have turned on the switch for votives and some may have used a match or lighter to light beautiful candles for the house or dinning room table. Which ever it was, YOU were responsible for the SPARK to LIGHT UP that area of the room. When beautiful lights are on and candles are lit, it ILLUMINATES the room to a sense of AWE for others and for yourself.

BE the one to SPARK UP someone’s life today and every day in the New Year.

HOW can you do this?

S – Service – Be in service to others and to your Self. Know your worth.

P – Pause and Peacefully listen to others and what they need, not what you think they need.

A – Always bring forth your Authentic self. No more hiding who you truly are.

R Realize your Divinity and Rely on God.

K – Kindness is Heart’s Intelligence. Allow Kindness to guide your way.

Sparking, Abigail and Steve

Birth of a New Day

Birth of a New Day!

This week Christians and New Thought followers celebrate the birth of Jesus the Christ. A new baby was born in the humble surroundings in Jerusalem over 2,000 years ago. No one knew at that time what an impact this Divine being would be to the world. We celebrate his birth. We celebrate his Consciousness. We celebrate his teachings of love, compassion, forgiveness and the Power of God within each person. His birth began a NEW DAY UNTO THE WORLD!

We can take this beautiful story and make it our own. TODAY we have the God given Divine Power within us to create a new day in our life. Jesus said, “What I do, you can do also and more!. God is within each of us. In New Thought we say, we are co-creators with, as and of God.  Ernest Holmes, says, “Humanity is Divinity in Form.”

As I sat in my meditation chair watching the sky begin its glow as the sun came up, I knew it was a NEW DAY for me. Yesterday is gone. Yesterdays thoughts and actions are gone. I have a NEW DAY to create my life. I can rethink. I can redo. I can react differently today.

Jesus the Christ brought a new Consciousness into the world. Today I have the opportunity to choose to be the Christ Consciousness with everyone in my life, with everyone I meet and talk to. I have the new day opportunity to release old patterns of not enough-ness, self-blame, and accept within me the new patterns of love, forgiveness, joyfulness, service, kindness and knowing my word is powerful so I think and speak carefully and wisely.

The song  Create In Me a Clean Heart, by Keith Green came into my mind.                    Create in me a clean heart, oh God                                                                              And renew a right spirit within me

Everyday we have the opportunity to Create a clean and loving heart, a clean a thoughtful mind to BE and DO good in this world of ours.

Jesus’s birth was not just about him, it was and is about YOU. Everyday YOU can birth something NEW and beautiful in your life. Take time today to birth a clean heart and right spirit and Christ Consciousness within you.

Blessings to all, Abigail and Steve

Turn Away from the Problem and Think About God, Emmet Fox

Dear Friends,

We are in the hustle and bustle of the holiday season and if you are like me, you have a daily “to do” list. Mine is usually long and sometimes overwhelming. As part of my morning spiritual practice, I journal write and I also write out prayers for family, friends and myself. In the past month I have been creating “to do” lists in my journals. Normally I write them out on a separate sheet of paper and keep by my desk. Now I do both.

I have created my “to do” list in the form of a prayer. I believe there is a blessing when the name of GOD appears anywhere and especially on a sheet of paper. My to do list becomes a prayer treatment. I also add, “All this and/or something better.” The beautiful words of Emmet Fox crosses my mind,  “Turn away from the problem and think about GOD!” So after my written “to do” prayer, I write down all the words describing God pertinent to the prayer list. Then I sit back and quietly meditate on peace and gratitude. Each day I reread the prayers from the day before and have been amazed at the uncanny demonstrations! Truly more good happened than on my list.

Two examples I want to share with you.

One, I was expecting a gift delivery and it kept being delayed. Since I had to send it across the country I was concerned it would not arrive in time. It was now on my list for GOD to arrange delivery. It arrived that day, before the scheduled time!!!

Second, was a demonstration with the DMV! My REAL ID has been on my mind since the first of this year, with last MAY being the due date to have one in order to travel on airlines. I had no plans to take a flight, and I had my Passport as a backup. May came and went and because of all the other house, health, and jury duty challenges, I kept putting it off. October came and I knew I had to take care of this because my Drivers License was coming up for renewal in December. I called the DMV several times. My computer would not let me process the application on line so I went down to the DMV for help. I was able to complete the application on their computers. However I still needed an appointment. One DVM lady, said to wait until December close to my birthday. I felt unsettled about that so I called again. This time I made an appointment for Dec. 9th. Good thing I did since they were booked Oct. and Nov.

December 9th came. I had ALL the paper work needed to prove I was who I am. Passport, birth certificate, marriage license, social security card, drivers license and bills to prove my residency. I was very anxious and nervous because I also knew I needed a vision test. I wasn’t sure if they would require a written test. So I read the test booklet just in case. For some people this may seem easy and effortless, for me it was worrisome. I prayed and wrote out the prayer declaring the day would be easy and effortless. I turned the problem and the appointment over to GOD while thinking about all the wonderful aspects, qualities, virtues of GOD. Somewhere in that prayer, written and oral, I had a sense of PEACE come over me. Even as I was driving to the DMV, part of me started to feel anxious and then, the PEACE that passes understanding came over me. I kept feeling that PEACE as I got closer, and found an easy parking spot.

I walked in and the place was practically empty. Whoa…. this was the scary DMV??? I was second in line. My number was called right away. The clerk was friendly and helpful and I had all the paper work in order, even copies which they did not take. The gentleman said they scan the paperwork. I passed the vision test even with my contacts, one for long distance and one for reading.

The photo was quick. I was only third in line. I noticed the lady holding her jaw and when it was my turn, I asked if she was OK. She was in pain due to a toothache and was looking forward to getting to her dental appointment soon. We talked and I said I would pray for her. She smiled and said thank you.

I was done! I walked out of the DMD 25 minutes after I arrived and before my scheduled appointment! Can I say “Thank You GOD!” Yes, I can and yes I did!

Put a blessing and prayer on your to do list. Think about God. Hand it over to the SPIRIT of GOD within you and not only will your day be blessed, you will be a blessing to someone else.!

PEACE HOPE JOY LOVE

Dear Friends,

Christianity celebrates the Season of Advent, weeks before Christmas. “The Advent season is a time of preparation and reflection leading up to Christmas. The Advent wreath, adorned with candles, plays a significant role in this tradition. The wreath is typically made of evergreen branches, symbolizing eternal life, and holds four candles, each representing a specific theme of HOPE, PEACE, JOY , and LOVE associated with the Sundays of Advent. In some traditions, a fifth white candle, known as the CHRIST  candle, is also included and lit on Christmas Day.” (AI Internet)

Whatever faith tradition you follow, the beautiful ideas of keeping HOPE, PEACE, JOY and LOVE in the forefront of our minds is the way to make it through the day.

How HOPEFUL were we today? Did we bring hope to someone suffering, sick in the hospital, a relationship?                                                                                                How PEACEFUL were we today? Did we create peace in our relationships or did we instigate worry or uneasiness?
How JOYFUL were we today? Did we say a kind word, make someone smile and laugh with an uplifting joke?

How LOVING were we today. Did we give a hug to our spouses, our kids, our grandkids, a neighbor going through a rough time. Did we say I LOVE YOU to someone today?

Did we reflect on the beautiful trees with sprawling branches and take a moment to recognize our ETERNAL LIFE. Earth life is but a part of the golden thread of life that never ceases.

Lastly are we filled with the CHRIST Consciousness, an expression of GOD in all we do. “Christ Consciousness is known by love, peace, compassion, acceptance, wisdom, discernment, clarity, integrity, strength, courage, faith, trust, kindness, inclusiveness, and goodness.”(Gina Lake, from her book Jesus Speaking: On Embodying Christ Consciousness.)

Enjoy the Season!

GIVING is HEART HEALTHTY

GIVING  is Beneficial to Your Heart Health

Welcome to December! We are in the hustle and bustle of the Holiday Season. If you are Christian and/or New Thought you will be thinking about your loved ones and what to give them for Christmas. It is also a wonderful opportunity to teach your young children and grandchildren the blessings of GIVING.

Last year I took my granddaughter to Walmart where they had a Military ‘Toys for Kids Box’ collecting toys for children. I explained what we were doing to my granddaughter, and how important it is to give to children who do not have toys like she has. She understood some of what I was saying(age 4) and then really got into finding a perfect gift for one boy and one girl. When we gave the toys to the officer at the box it was a really big deal for her and I took photos. We talked about how it made us feel to give, even to someone we do not know and never will meet. I plan to do this again with her during the holidays.

I read a wonderful article on the Blessings and Benefits of GIVING by The Conference for Consciousness & Human Evolution (TCCHE).It talked about how GIVING affects our bodies.

Did you know…“Something wild happens in your body when you give…

“our heart and brain sync in perfect harmony. Your electromagnetic field expands. Dopamine floods your system. Your stress hormones drop.” “Your brain rewards you MORE when you give than when you receive. Neuroscience has proven it. The reward centers in your brain light up more intensely when you’re generous than when you’re on the receiving end. We’re literally wired for this.”

“The electromagnetic field of your heart is 5,000x stronger than your brain Acts of generosity activate alpha and theta brainwaves.” “Your energy field expands when you give from the soul. Selfless giving shifts your brainwaves into meditative states. Giving doesn’t deplete you…it multiplies you. Giving is backed by research from Heart Math Institute, neuroscience, and ancient wisdom traditions.”

“When you understand generosity as energy work (not just good behavior) everything shifts. Your heart becomes coherent. Your brain rewires for connection. Your electromagnetic field becomes healing. “

GIVING is HEALING, HEALTHY and BENEFICIAL.                                                         DO It, BE It and TEACH It.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

I love this time of year. People are tuned into gratitude while busy planning Thanksgiving dinners with family and friends. The hustle and bustle is upon us as we enter into this holiday. This season reminds us to be grateful for what we have and be grateful for what we don’t have. We look to God knowing everything is in Divine Order. Sometimes what we think we want is not what we need.

Today I focus on all the good I do have. In my morning meditations I look out my window and am in awe of the beautiful view of hills and nature. I watch the birds fly and land on the balcony. I know nature is abundant and beautiful. I am grateful for my fulfilled life, for Steve for my children and grandchildren. I am grateful for my family and friends. My prayers go out to all.

I also know this season can be heartbreaking for those who are spending this time alone, or without loved ones who have passed, and/or loved ones who are not talking to them, or friends who may have said unkind words. You can change the heartbreak to heart-heal, to heart-love, to heart-forgiveness and truly enter this season open and receptive to good and more good in your life.

  • Heal your heart by remembering the beautiful times you spent with those
  • you loved.
  • Love ALL, even those most difficult.
  • Forgive those who may have done harm to you in thought word and deed. Unforgiveness blocks your good. Forgiveness opens the door to a stream of new and Divine Opportunities.

We wish you all a very HAPPY THANKSGIVING. Give Thanks to GOD first and then Thanks to Everyone and Everything else. We ALL come from the ONE SOURCE.

Giving Thanks to GOD and All,                                                                                          Abigail and Steve

GOD, like the Sky is unchanging. Clouds, like fears are passing.

Dear Friends,

Poway, and the San Diego area is having Winter Rain. We are grateful for the rain, for it keeps the concern of fire away. However being true Southern Californians, we hope it ends soon so we can feel the sun and lovely weather we are so blessed to have.      Sun, rain, clouds are all part of nature and really a metaphor for our lives.

Rev. David Ault wrote in the Science of Mind magazine, “In the Tibetan Dzogchen tradition, the nature of mind is often likened to the SKY – vast open and fundamentally unchanging. Phenomena such as thoughts, emotions and life events are clouds that pass through the sky. No matter how dark or turbulent the clouds become, they never alter the sky’s essential nature.”

David likened the SKY as GOD, never changing, always there, calm, beautiful, holy, changeless, loving and more. Clouds are but passing fears, worries, health challenges, work challenges, family and friend challenges. They float across our lives and yet when we rise above the clouds, rise high in thought, feeling and consciousness we tap into the SKY/GOD Consciousness which is changeless and eternal.

Rev. David says, “We are not our fears, our conditions or our past stories. These are the clouds. We are instead the ever-present, changeless field of Divine Mind – the Sky”

Ernest Holmes says, “There is a Power for good in the universe greater than we are, and we can use it!”

That POWER is the God Power within us. When we stop looking at what is wrong and start rising above in consciousness and realize what is good, right, eternal, we let go of the storm clouds and put ourselves in the hands of GOD.

Do you want to be fretting in the storm clouds, or knowing the Truth of God, as all good, all loving kindness and knowing the highest and best for you?

Release your cares and concerns unto IT/GOD/SKY/ DIVINE MIND.

ALL that GOD is, is also in YOU.

Loving the Clear God Sky. Abigail and Steve
