FORGIVE

Dear Friends,
We are now in the December Season of
Love, Forgiveness, Giving and Compassion.
All these ideas were taught by Jesus the Christ, the Master Teacher and Spiritual Leader. We celebrate his birth at Christmas time. We also celebrate the birth of the Christ Consciousness in us as well. We are the Christ in potential. He said, “What I do,
you can do also.”
This past week I have been focusing on the idea of FORGIVENESS, for without forgiveness there is no love. Without forgiveness it is difficult to even acknowledge the Divine Presence in another person. If Jesus the Christ can forgive, I can forgive as well.
On my meditation altar I have added a “Forgiveness” candle. I plan to light it everyday until I have a change of heart within me for a person who seems to say unkind things about Steve and me. I know when I have a change of heart and consciousness life with change. Terry Cole Whitaker said, “What others think of me, is none of my business.” I am not a victim. I am a partner in this journey. How I react to harsh words is what is so important.
If unkind words are spoken, my response is to send love, in my heart , mind and/or verbally. LOVE does conquer all. Darkness cannot stay when a LIGHT is turned on.
To forgive is always a choice. I choose to see the person as a Divine Being of God, having a human experience. Life on our human journey can be challenging so I acknowledge this for me and for her.
Today I will stay in the Consciousness of Love, Forgiveness, Giving and Compassion for all.

Dear Friends,

We had a wonderful time at the ANTN (Affiliated New Thought Network) Conference last week. It felt good to reunite with beloved friends, and be spiritually fed. The conference was at the beautiful Unity Village in Lee Summit, MO, about 45 minutes outside Kansas City. We had a chance to laugh and cry as our hearts cracked wide open making way for more light and love. We loved being with our “tribe.”

Our lives are all about Spiritual Awakening and Transformation and using the Gifts God has given us. One morning I was reading in the Daily Word about letting go and being transformed. One of the steps in our Spiritual Mind Treatment is to “Let Go and Let God” and know the Divine Outcome is at hand. There was a phrase in the magazine that shined a new light on this idea. It said,
“I let go into the transforming light of God within.” It took me into a deeper understanding of God within. ‘Letting go and letting God’ now seemed like letting go of a balloon flying into the sky. This ‘Letting go to the God Within’ reminded me of who I am.
I am God on this earth. I am a Divine Idea. I am God individualized. So when I LET GO, I let go knowing I AM handing this prayer to ME, my God Self who knows all, is all, as all.
I release my human ideas to make way for my God ideas, and the Will of Spirit within.

Daily Word October 13
“I take my place in this global spiritual process of awakening and do my part. Every encounter I have with others, no matter how small, is turning the tide and transforming us all. I make a courageous choice on behalf of all of my sisters and brothers and for my soul. I awaken to the unfolding of my being and put that awareness to work in my world.”

I was reading the Unity magazine and was so taken with this poem by Kabir. It reminded me how humans are always trying to find the BEST WAY TO GOD. The poem, like the New Thought belief says, where you go, God is there. Why? Because GOD is you.
God as Spirit, Divine energy, intelligence, wisdom, love, knowledge is in every atom, cell and molecule in your body.
I have a lovely meditation chair where I sit in the mornings. There are times when I am stressed and I feel, I have to go sit in my chair, because it brings me comfort. That is all well and good when I am home, but what if I am out running errands, on a trip, in a plane, at a grocery story. The poem is a wonderful reminder we can pray and meditate in mind and heart wherever we are. All our thoughts are prayers, and all are heard no matter where we go.
Another favorite quote is, “There is no spot where God is not.” Even in the midst of heartache and sadness, God is in us, with us and flowing through us. We do not have to go on retreats to “find God.” God is right here with us in our own homes, at work, in the car, and wherever we choose to go.

Be an Instrument of Peace

Are your nerves frazzled with all the political and natural disaster events happening?
The air and ethers are filled with this crazy energy and everyone and every thing is being affected. Each one of us is an AGENT of Change, A VESSEL of Light, an INSTRUMENT of Peace.  Let us each make our Divine contribution to LIFE; human and animal, plant and planet, water and air and our beloved Mother Earth.
Just BREATHE in the breath of God, hold, and release any anxiety.
B   Behold Beauty and Bountiful Good in everyone and everything.
R   Relax with a favorite activity.
E   Experience an Easy, Effortless, & Excellent day. Treat for it, See it, Feel it.
A   All is Divine and All is God.
T   Thoughts create.  What peaceful thoughts are you thinking and creating?
H   Help someone today. Doing an act of kindness makes you feel good.
E    Embrace Diversity and uniqueness of all people.

Remembrance

Dear Friends,
Today is a Day of Remembrance, a day we mourn for those who perished in the terror attack on the Twin Towers and planes over New York.  We pray for those souls and for the family and friends left behind.
REMEMBRANCE is a beautiful word. At this time I want us to REMEMBER who we are and who the souls are, who passed on before us.  We are eternal spirits having a journey on earth as part of our eternal life.  Ernest Holmes wrote, and became one of our beliefs,
“We believe in the eternality, the immortality and the continuity of the individual soul, forever and ever expanding.”
Those who have gone before us to another life and another journey are never really gone, they are forever expanding. Many of us have had experiences where we have been given messages by our transitioned loved ones in a dream, as a sign, as a thought. We can still communicate, only in a more subtle way.  Steve’s brother Larry, came to me while waking the labyrinth, and he said, “We never leave.”  Let us REMEMBER, no one ever really leaves, we change form, change residence, change dimension, change vibration, however we never leave.  We are eternal souls created by God
Prayers of Love and Blessings are always appreciated by those still here on earth and by those in the heavenly dimensions. Our thoughts, prayers, words go out into the ONE MIND of God and are always heard and received.
To all those who have chosen to go before us, we bless you, we love you, we open our hearts and minds to you, knowing you are eternally alive, well and with us.

Push the barriers, Ride the Whale

Dear Friends,

We just watched a wonderful movie called
“Whale Rider.”
This is about how the old ways, the ancient traditions need to change in order for the Maori people to again feel proud of who they are, and where they came from. The ancient tradition has always had men Chiefs leading the tribe. In the movie, a grandfather tries endlessly to teach the young men of the community the ancient ways, and to find the next chief, but to no avail. Each appears to fall short of the leadership role. However, in the background is a young girl who wants to learn what all the boys are learning, so she watches and practices in secret, until she is caught. Her grandfather ostracizes her and she feels unworthy. Luckily her grandmother is loving and continues to let her know how much she is loved.
The Maori people have a long established connection with whales and at one time in their past, chiefs were able to call the whales and ride them. In the village there is a huge statue of this belief. In the movie, for some reason, the whales beached themselves and the community could not seem to help them move back to the ocean. Once everyone had given up, the young girl goes over to the leader whale and starts talking and singing to him. The whale stirs and moves and she climbs on his back. The lead whale is able to move back into the water and the other whales follow. Much to the community, and the grandfathers surprise, they see her “riding the whale” out into the ocean. It was at that moment the grandfather’s eyes and heart were open to the truth. His granddaugher, whom he had berated, was the future leader of the Maori community.
Long story short the girl rose to the surface when the whale dove. Not sure how she got to the hospital, but she survived, and the whole community was alive in spirit, with a new hope, and proud again of their tradition.

Here is the point. Tradition has its value, however in order to grow, learn and transform there must come a time in our lives when we need to reevaluate what has been done in the past and surrender to a NEW IDEA, a new way of being. We can’t move forward in God’s Divine Plan for our lives, the lives of our family, friends, community and world until we surrender to a Higher Calling. Jesus said, “I myself can do nothing, it is the Father/God within me doing the work.” The grandfather pushed to do it his way, when God had a greater plan. God’s plan is always inclusive. Exclusivity is man’s doing, not God’s.
We must always be OPEN at the TOP to God’s Greater Plan. We know we are going in the wrong direction when all the doors of opportunity close and/or we push to ‘make something happen’ when it won’t.

In your morning prayers, meditation and treatment say, I Let go and Let God.
Really mean that!!! Write down or say what your intentions are, visualize them, then say
“All this and/or something greater.” When the Greater shows up, ask God, “Is this it?” You will get an answer, a sign, a door opening, a phone call with a wonderful opportunity. You might just find the person you thought had nothing to offer is your hope and salvation.

BE God’s Instrument of Good, of Change and Transformation for now and the future.

Be in Your Easy Space

Dear Friends,
After our very busy Interfaith Awareness Week, we have had a couple weeks of less “busyness.” We find it takes time to wind down and get back to a normal routine.
It is similar to a good exercise routine or fast walk. The body needs time to slow down and feel its normal pace. Today I felt that way after being on the treadmill and doing 1/2 hour of yoga and floor exercises. As I went into savasana, I could feel my body slowly relaxing and settling down. I was in a God Space, easy, effortless and gracefully comfortable.
This feeling of being in-between a fast pace and busy schedule also happens when a person is in-between jobs or projects. When a job or project is done, there needs to be some down time. This is the perfect time to reflect on the past (what worked,what didn’t) and make space for the future. There are times we get ‘antsy’ between jobs, not knowing what will come next or how we can find the next right job. Ahhhh, here is “Divine Discontent.” We know God’s intention is for us to keep moving forward and upward in heart, mind and spirit. In order to do that, we must let go of the past before the present or future presents itself.
We had a call from a minister friend who appeared to be in Divine discontent, the space between jobs where one is restless and not sure of what to do next. He kept saying he let his ministry go and yet he still wants to ‘preach.’ He has church hopped and some have invited him to speak. He is happy doing that. All the time he kept saying, I let my ministry go, now what am I going to do? I really like speaking at other churches and have the opportunities to do just that.” We had him focus on what he LIKED to do with his opportunities to do it. God is always leading us in Divine Directions, we just have to get ourselves into our God Space to relax, and listen. He finally realized he had been affirming what he wanted to do throughout the whole conversation. We encouraged him to follow his heart (God guidance) and continue to listen and just BE in the soft and easy space within where God abides.
Today, allow time to be in a quiet, relaxed space where God is guiding you. Enjoy the in-between time. Remember, you are always on your Divine path, whether you are busy or not. Wherever you go, God is there, so there is never a place where God is not. Just stop a moment and listen. You will be encouraged to move forward to do whatever it is for you to do.

Vote to Save America

Dear Friends,

I believe we are all feeling the disconnect and negative energy of the political drama in this country. This is a reminder to VOTE in November. It is the most important mid term election we have had in many years. In my opinion, the POTUS is beginning to transform our nation of freedom into one of dictatorship. With his trying to stop journalists and reporters from writing and reporting the news and eliminating security clearances of our top FBI and CIA people, we are sadly becoming a fearful society.
His inappropriate behavior, his white supremism, his lies and his alienating all our of allies and making “friends” and sharing secrets with dictators whose ideologies are in contrast with what we stand for, is unacceptable in my heart and mind.

PLEASE VOTE in the November election and encourage your family, friends and young adults you know to VOTE as well.
We must stop the rise of this ambitious bully.
We CAN do this. He is the Goliath and we are the Davids in this country. Let us “hit” him where it hurts where he can do no more harm, AT THE POLLS.

1. Vote for those who stand against him.
2. Vote for those who are more interested in the good of the country, than pleasing POTUS and being fearful for their government seats.
3. Vote the young adults in. the OLD regime needs to move out, and let the NEW, bright intelligent, creative Young adults in! We keep saying they are our future. This is wrong. They are our NOW!

Ernest Holmes, founder of Religious Science, says, “Treat and move your feet!”         We pray first, then take action. Prayer without action is like standing in an elevator and not pushing the button to the floor you want to go to.
If we do not vote, we will not have the country we know and love.

Wholeness is the Natural Order

I believe we all have had challenges with our health at some point in our lives.
In New Thought we believe the essence of God is within us, whole, perfect and complete.  We know Jesus the Christ truly embodied this belief and therefore could heal anyone and anything. He kept asking, “Do you believe you are healed?”
In other words, ‘Do you believe there is that within you which is already whole, perfect and complete?’  
 
Many of us WANT to believe this completely, and don’t always do.
In Lynn McTaggert’s book, “Intention Experiment,”   Glen Rein, a biologist, tested which prayer was the most effective for inhibiting the growth of cancer cells in a
petri dish. With the help of an experienced healer, 5 different prayers were explored. What he discovered was the most powerful intentional prayer was the one that“directed the cells to return to their natural order.” It inhibited the growth by 39%.(SoM magazine July)
God created the natural order of the universe. It is all in balance, whole, perfect, complete.  We are created out of this Divine order, Divine intention, Divine perfection which we call God, Spirit, Cause, Creator, Source. The natural order of God is already within us.  When we realign with this thought and belief, our atoms, cells, and molecules respond and begin moving towards their natural order of wholeness. Some examples:
  • I  remember a minister telling me years ago, when she worked in a laboratory doing tests on various cells, she keep singing “You Are My Sunshine.” She was a happy person so singing a tune came naturally.  Apparently she had to stop singing because it was affecting the test results.
  • Do you remember the water experiments by Dr. Emoto? He would say wonderful, kind words to murky, muddy water and the water would change and become clear.
  • When Steve had his stoke in 2003, I asked people to pray by SEEing him walking and talking naturally.  And he did!  In other words, back to the Natural order of God within him.
YOU are whole, perfect and complete. Within you is Divine Natural Order, no matter the physical appearance.  If you are challenged knowing this, find a New Thought practitioner or minister who can know it with you and for you until you can know it for yourself.

Prayer Works!

Setting Conscious Intentions.
Every morning we need to wake up with a conscious intention in mind. I know when I sit for my morning prayers and meditations, the whole day seems to flow. My intentions and affirmative prayers manifest in directions that are sometimes surprising.
The Mind loves an intentional thought that is clear and specific with the feelings that it is already accomplished. Not having a clear intention is like swimming in
muddy water.

Last Friday the temperature in Poway ramped up to 105 degrees. IT WAS HOT! We expected our daughter and her little dog to come over since they did not have air conditioning. Whew, at first it felt good to have cool air circulating through the house. Then all of a sudden we noticed the air blowing had lost it coolness. Our AC was out. We called our insurance and left a message. No calls back.
Saturday came. I called again and this time I got the name of the AC Contractor they used. Called twice. No calls back. Called the insurance again later on Saturday afternoon and also on Sunday. By this time we were frustrated. Two of our neighbors came over to see if they could figure out what was going on. No luck.
Monday morning I sat in my meditation chair and felt at peace. I wrote out a prayer treatment with one of the sentences saying, “Thank you God for sending the right and true AC man out today. Our house is now cool and refreshing…”
I visualized a man walking through the house and troubleshooting areas that could be at fault. When I was done I got back on the phone with the insurance and left another message. I also looked up other AC contractors, made an appointment with one for Wednesday. AUK! For some reason (intuitive sight?) I saw another AC contractor’s company with a good review from YELP and called him. He said he could stop by either later today, Monday, or on Tuesday. We waited. Finally at 5pm Nathan called and said he would be over in 10 minutes. He was. Here was my image of a man checking the AC both inside and outside our house, and fixing the problem in about 15 minutes.
Thank you God!!! In a short time, our house was refreshingly cool.

“When we pray for clarity, we’re asking God for the ability to sort through the mental and emotional fog; to see the spiritual truth in the situation; and to determine what we really want, what we actually need and what best serves everyone involved.
It is our emotional commitment to a thought that welcomes it into our lives and begins the manifestation process.”
I was emotionally committed to having our AC fixed. I let go of my original idea of who it should be, and allowed God to come in and connect me with the right and true person. I am forever grateful for prayer treatment, knowing it always works!

Whole Perfect Complete

YOU ARE WHOLE , PERFECT AND COMPLETE
Dear Friends,
I was reading the July issue of the Science of Mind magazine this morning and a wonderful example of our Spiritual perfection was written by Linda M. Potter, RScP. Her topic was how we are all born WHOLE and perfect, regardless of how the human body may look or feel.
She said,
” A hologram is the perfect metaphor for how this works. When you cut a hologram of a rose in half, each half contains the whole rose. If you cut that same hologram into eighths, you will end up with eight complete roses. If we think of God as a hologram, no matter how many pieces IT is cut into, each piece, no matter how small, is a complete, whole picture of God. We are born whole and remain whole regardless of external circumstances.”
What a beautiful description of our God Selves. We are all whole and perfect parts of the WHOLENESS of God. When we do prayer treatment we go to our place in mind, heart and consciousness which only sees and knows that ROSE, that GOD SELF is always whole, perfect and complete. When we KNOW the Truth of our Being, it manifests! No matter how young or old, big or small, we are all parts of the ONE WHOLE GOD.
All There Is, Is GOD
Everything God is, is within us, complete and perfect.
Ernest Holmes said, we are not healed ( we are already perfect). The wholeness and health are already within us. When we know the truth, it is revealed.
