World Labyrinth Day Saturday, May 2.
“World Labyrinth Day (WLD) 2026 takes place on Saturday, May 2, 2026, marking the 18th annual international event hosted by The Labyrinth Society. Participants are invited to join a “rolling wave” of peace by walking a labyrinth at 1:00 p.m. local time, or by participating virtually, using finger labyrinths, or hosting local, in-person events.”
“In preparing your mind and body to walk a labyrinth, remember the three R’s: release, receive and return. Entering a labyrinth is the time to quiet the mind, let go of the details, distractions and extraneous thoughts.”
A Labyrinth is a sacred meditative walk. It leads you to the center of who you are. It is not a maze. You will never be lost. Just as you are never lost in God.
We will walk our labyrinth knowing PEACE is the WAVE that is circulating around the globe in every time zone at 1:00pm. We will have an opening ceremony and a closing ceremony. There will be time for sharing, discussion, art, journaling and sacred silence. Refreshments will be on the table. We ask everyone to bring a snack to share. Steve and I will have water available.
You are also walking the labyrinth for yourself. Be open to Divine insight and Divine ideas as you walk. Many who have walked our labyrinth said they went in with one idea, one prayer, and returned with a sudden jolt of Divine inspiration and direction. PEACE in our hearts and in our minds opens us up to Greater Good and a Greater Life.
Lauren Artress, an icon in Labyrinth knowledge says in her book, Walking a Sacred Path, “Labyrinths are powerful blueprints that order chaos, offer a path of prayer, heal deep wounds, serve as a place of solace, and transform human consciousness individually and in community. The labyrinth offers a spiritual exercise that becomes the path of life. It allows the wandering soul to find way to center, to find a way home.”
We will be walking at 1:00pm both individually, and with the world.
