Flow of God Seeks YOU!

RUMI quote 2

Dear Friends,
I love the quote above.  It was shared by Georgette at the Tai Chi Labyrinth Walk we had a couple weeks ago.  The Master Rumi understood the process of Divine Life.   All is meant to bless us and flow to us as we open our hearts and minds to greater good and higher consciousness.
What is it you are wanting in your life?
Why is this “Want” not happening?
As we come to a place of peace, where we listen intently with our hearts, our God Voice gives us all the information we need.  Sometimes this information comes as intuition saying, what you want will not serve you for your highest and best potential.
Can you surrender to GOD’s Highest & Best in your life?
Can you really let go and let God.
When we completely surrender and say,”Thy Will Be Done,” it is only then the blessings pour forth into your life greater than you can imagine.  No longer are you pushing or struggling for yourself or others you love. Universal LIFE, Divine LOVE, Omnipresent GOD is always FOR YOU, not against you. Release your will and allow the Divine Outcome SEEK YOU! You will be joyfully surprised and you will have greater understanding why your will did not manifest.
At our next Labyrinth Walk we will be exploring these ideas.   Save the date: Saturday March 19, 2-4pm.

NEW THOUGHT DAY on MARCH 6th

Hello March

Dear Friends,
Spring is almost here and so is NEW THOUGHT DAY!   As you all know we are New Thought Ministers doing Interfaith Work. Our love and faith tradition is New Thought (Religious Science and Unity).
Dr. Steve is the creator of the NEW THOUGHT DAY which is celebrated the first Sunday of March.  We will be in Hawaii for this celebration and Steve will present at the Unity Church in Maui.
We are so excited to be there, not only for NTD, but because we were married there 14 years ago! Two wonderful celebrations!  NTD is happening all over the world.  We just received an email from a minister in Melbourne, Australia and how excited he is to celebrate the day. We know ANTN ( Affiliated New Thought Network) and CSL(Centers for Spiritual Living) congregations will also be celebrating our founders and the beginnings and expansion of our faith tradition.
Go to our website and view the excellent NTD Power Point for your own information and understanding of who we are and what we believe.

Mindful Movement Mindful Walk

Tai-Chi_ People

We look forward to  a wonderful afternoon  of Mindful Movement; learning a combination of Tai Chi , Qi Gong, Tapping, Intention setting, and having a  purposeful Mindful Walk on the Labyrinth.  It is not too late to sign up for either day.

You are invited and welcome to be here.

TAI CHI

“The ancient Chinese practices of tai chi and qi gong combine slow, deliberate movements, meditation, and breathing exercises. The routines were not designed to burn calories or raise your heart rate. Instead, both tai chi and qi gong are martial arts that can help your circulation, balance, and alignment. They can also help restore your energy, called chi or qi (pronounced “chee”). The low-impact moving meditations include standing and balancing. Although qi gong and tai chi are excellent fitness activities for beginners and people with health conditions, elite athletes also benefit from doing the slow movements, because everyone needs better balance and muscle control. The postures flow together without pause, making qi gong and tai chi look like slow, graceful dances that keep your body in constant motion.”

LABYRINTH WALK

“You are taking a pilgrimage of sorts when you walk the labyrinth,” says Phyllis Pilgrim, director of body-mind-spirit and specialty week programs at Rancho La Puerta in Tecate, Mexico, In fact, labyrinths have a history of being used for pilgrimages, particularly during times when it was difficult or treacherous to reach sacred destinations. In the past, seekers even traveled labyrinths on their knees, praying continuously.  “I think of the labyrinth meditation as a journey of the heart,” says Pilgrim. “You walk a seemingly convoluted path that ends up at the middle, or the center of your heart, and then you want to be open to what it has to say to you. Hopefully, when you’re through, you’re perhaps a little bit more open to change, and a more peaceful, loving being.” Pilgrim adds that intention is an important part of the process. “You can walk a labyrinth carelessly, just as you can do anything in life carelessly. But if you walk with openness and mindfulness, you’ll learn and make discoveries from the experience. Your heart will teach you.” Lauren Artress, is the founder and creative director of Veriditas, the World-Wide Labyrinth Project, and author of several books on labyrinth meditation  Says Artress, “The labyrinth is a spiritual tool that has many applications in various settings. It reduces stress, quiets the mind and opens the heart. It is a walking meditation, a path of prayer, and a blueprint where psyche meets spirit.”  http://www.ideafit.com/fitness-library/labyrinth-walking-path-heart-  Walking the Labyrinth also benefits ones:health, wholeness, happiness, clarity of mind and calmness of emotions http://labyrinthsociety.org/labyrinths-in-places/3247-benefits-of-labyrinths-in-healthcare-settings

The GOD Spot

Where there is peace and meditation,
there is neither anxiety or doubt.
Sir Francis deSales

meditaion

Dear Friends,
This morning I woke sleepy with thoughts of “I have so much to do….” I felt a bit disorganized and felt a tug to go to the computer and begin my day.  However, at that moment of thought, I had an even stronger pull, gently, coaxingly, lovingly calling me to  my GOD SPOT.  My “Go To” place in the mornings before I begin my day.  It is my sanctuary where I pray, meditate, reflect and read.  I know, like you, so many things can divert us first thing in the morning.  For myself , I know the more I have to do, the more I need to just BE in my God Spot,  for I hear  “I AM That I AM. I have what you need”   As I give into my GOD Call, I sit  quietly and am immediately filled with peace,  ease and relaxation,   The words of my favorite mediation from Ernest Holmes come to me:

Be Still And Know That I AM God.
I am still in Thy Presence.
I am quiet and peaceful, for I put my trust in Thee.
A great stillness steals over me and a great calm quiets my whole being, as I realize Thy Presence.
The heart knows of Thee, O Most High within.
It is still in Thy Presence, and it puts its whole confidence in Thee alone.
In thy Presence I am still.

Just saying those words brings me to my God Self.
I am in my Sweet God Spot and ready for the day, knowing it is Divinely Orchestrated and I move in it with grace and ease.
Now Go to Your GOD SPOT and Be Still and Know that I AM THAT I AM is within you now.

I AM LOVE, LOVED, LOVING

“Love yourself. Forgive yourself. Be true to yourself. How you treat yourself sets the standard for how others will treat you.”
-Steve Maraboli, Unapologetically You: Reflections on Life and the Human Experience

Love Yourself

Dear Friends,

Valentine’s Day is coming up this Sunday and I want to wish everyone a Happy Day with your spouses, partners, family and loved ones.  This day has always been designated about couples loving one another and I believe that is wonderful.  I also believe in order to have a healthy couple relationship, each person must have a healthy relationship with his or herself first.  Many of us who found our soul mate/love mate created lists of “What I want in a man/woman.”  And generally that has really worked.  I suggest this Valentine’s Day each one of us (married and single) take the time to make a NEW list.
What do I want in ME?   Time to begin a beautiful relationship with yourself!              Time to declare it!
I AM :
Kind, caring, compassionate.
In integrity.
Honest and truthful with myself and others.
Brilliant in the choices I make.
Authentic when I express myself to others.
Considerate and thoughtful.
Courageous and stand up for what I believe.
Brave and will not allow others to put me down.
Welcoming, and yet not a door mat.
Wise and Intelligent.
Beautiful with a sweet personality.
LOVE!
continue with your own words…..
Time to Fall in love with yourself!
EVERYTHING you want is within you now. As you begin to know the Truth about yourself and feel it deeply, internally and completely, others will too. Others will sense your love and the  sacredness of your Self.
Actions:
Send yourself a Valentine Card
Send yourself flowers
Treat yourself to a fun day.
If single, go out with friends.
This Valentine’s day is all about YOU, your Greatness, your Wonderfulness,              your Magnificence.
Time to accept the Truth of your being, You are GOD in expression, form and action! What God is – YOU Are!
NOW give yourself a great big KISS!!!

Baby kissing herself in the mirror
HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY

OUR PRAYER

praying-hands

Each one of us is an outlet to God and an inlet to God.
– Dr.Ernest Holmes, Founder of Religious Science

Dear Friends,

As part of my morning meditation and contemplation, I love reading this prayer.  It is the Aramaic version of “The Lord’s Prayer.” After I read it, I ask Spirit, what words or phrases shall guide my life today.  As you read this beautiful version, ask yourself the same question.  You may be surprised what pops out for you, and then what manifests during the day.

The Lord’s Prayer

(Directly translated from Aramaic into English,
rather than from Aramaic to Greek to Latin to English)

O cosmic Birther of all radiance & vibration!

Soften the ground of your being & carve out a space
within me where your Presence can abide.

Fill me with your creativity so that I may be empowered
to bear the fruit of your mission.

Let each of my actions bear fruit
in accordance with your desire.

Endow me with the wisdom to produce & share
what each being needs to grow & flourish.

Untie the tangled threads of destiny that bind me,
as I release others from the entanglement of past mistakes.

Do not let me be seduced by that which would
divert me from my true purpose,
but illuminate the opportunities of the present moment.

For you are the ground & the fruitful vision,
The birth, power, & fulfillment,
As all is gathered & made whole once again.

Received this from the Center for Richer Living www.Richerliving.org

What guidance did you receive?
Is your heart and mind open to hear and feel the presence of Spirit within?
Is today the day you will be more creative in your life and service?
Are your actions in alignment with your God consciousness?
Will you be ready to share words of wisdom to those who call you for help?
Will you forgive and release others from past hurts and mistakes?
Will you stay true to yourself and to the path Spirit is guiding you on, rather than be pulled into the melodrama of the world?
Regardless of appearances, can you see the wholeness and goodness of all?

As we listen to the message of the Lord’s Prayer, it truly becomes Our Prayer.

KINDNESS WEEK

Random-Acta-of-Kindness

Dear Friends,

I heard on the news this is “Acts of Kindness Week.”

Many schools and children in the San Diego area are truly embracing this declaration.  As I was reading the “Science of Mind” magazine this morning it too was referring to “Small Courtesies” and small kindnesses.  It said “small kindnesses should be routine…a frequent behavior.” Practicing kindness embraces ONENESS. Kindness is the energy of LIFE sharing and being as ONE entity. I am ONE with you and you are ONE with me.  When we forget this truth and our alignment with the ONE GOD, One Life, One Mind, we tend to forget to Live a life of Kindness, compassion. Being in service is taking the time to be mindful of our brothers and sisters in need. As part of my morning spiritual practice I will include this affirmation;

Today I will mindfully do One Act of Kindness.

I know what goes around comes around so I am expecting an absolutely Glorious day filled with joy and happiness!

And so it is….

SOLIDARITY

Muslim Woman praying

This Hijab, This mark of Piety, is an act of faith,
a symbol for all the world to see…”

Dear Friends,
We celebrated Dr. Martin Luther King Day all over the United States on Monday, January 18th.  It is a joy to know what an impact his spiritual non-violent philosophy has had on our country. Our country consciousness has risen to one of more respect, friendship and equality with people of all color. However we still have a ways to go.
Also on Monday there was a wonderful rally in  San Diego to raise the consciousness of people concerning the Muslim community and especially the Muslim women who feel so uncomfortable being in the public eye.
SOLIDARITY SOLIDARITY SOLIDARITY…
was the continued mantra at the:“Gathering in Solidarity with Muslim Women”
event at Balboa Park on Monday, Jan. 18th, 2016.
Channel CW6 reported  it at the 10pm news. Rabbi Laurie Coskey was the MC and there were over 400 interfaith people, both men and women, showing support of Muslim women who wear the traditional head scarf and/or hijab. Imam Taha Hassane was there sharing how women in his congregation were afraid to go out. Many are being harassed, spoken rudely to or being accused of terror.
Rev. Dr. Abigail was there and stood with the clergy in solidarity.
It was wonderful to see so many in support of our sisters.

When you are in a store or public place and there is a Muslim woman, talk to her and let her know you support her and the Muslim community. Offer assistance if she is being harassed.   We must stop this uncalled for hatred and misunderstanding before it escalates further.

Gathering in Solidarity

GATHERING in SOLIDARITYmuslim-women-business-coaching2

January 12, 2016
Dear Friends,
I was saddened to see on the news, a  Muslim woman by the name of Rose, asked to leave Donald Trumps political rally. What people said to her and accused her of as she was escorted out was at the very least insensitive, disrespectful and unkind.  Incidents like these remind me of the Old West when lynch mobs were formed due to misinformation, hate and hysteria. It also reminded me of the Klu Klux Klan ,the Nazis,  and what is going on in Africa.  Have we learned anything?  Why are we not following the message of the Master Avatars from all religions?
Love, Peace, Forgiveness, Compassion?
On Monday, January 18th, at 2pm, I will be joining women from many faith traditions to stand up with and for my Muslim sisters at a peace rally in Balboa Park. Imam Taha Hassane from the Islamic Center of San Diego said the women in his congregation are terrified to go out in public anymore.  We  will be showing our solidarity by wearing scarfs on our heads.
If you are in the San Diego area please join us at 6th and Laurel Streets.  (See below for more info)
Let us NOT let the actions of a few muddy the water for the majority.
A Salaam Alaikum

CHOICES

Happy New Year Happy New YOU!

I was talking with my minister friend, Dr. Kathleen Johnson, the other day, and we explored the idea of choice.   Sometimes when a person tries to explain an action he or she may say, “I really didn’t have a choice….”    I don’t agree.
WE ALWAYS HAVE A CHOICE.  When a person is involved in a situation he or she doesn’t like, what actions or choices can he or she make to create the highest and best for all concerned?
My friend was telling me a story about a man who always gets up in the morning with a positive attitude, making positive choices.
Here is the story in nutshell…
Jerry always has a positive attitude. He is a restaurant manager and his staff like him so much they follow him from restaurant to restaurant. Jerry wakes up in the morning and makes a choice to be in a good mood or bad mood. When something bad happens he finds the good or lesson in it. When a staff person complains, he helps them have a positive outlook and choose to learn something. Once 3 robbers came into the restaurant with guns. One shot Jerry. He was taken to the hospital and he saw the looks on the medical staff’s faces. They were looks as if he were a dead man. At that moment he made a choice to live. Before he had surgery the nurse asked him if he was allergic to anything. He said “bullets.” In the surgery room he asked the doctors to operate on him as if he were going to LIVE. He recovered and months later he said, “If I were any happier, I would be twins.”
What a beautiful inspirational story.
•How do you want your day to begin and continue?
•Where do you want to put your thoughts, actions and choices?
•What energy choice do you want the world to feel?
•What energy choice do you want to have come back to you?
Today in this New Year, make the choice to USE the Divine Universal Energy  to inspire and uplift  others as well as yourself.
Choose to Have a Happy New Year
and you will have a ….

Happy New YOU
